Ethereum was added to Amazon’s blockchain service

Amazon users can now create new Ethereum nodes using the company’s managed blockchain and connect to the main network and other test networks of this blockchain.

According to Cointelegraph, technology giant Amazon recently announced the availability of Ethereum in its managed blockchain to the public.

According to Amazon Web Services (AWS), users now have the ability to add new nodes to the Ethereum network. They can be connected to the main network of this blockchain in addition to the Ropsten and Rinkeby test networks through Amazon-managed blockchain. The program claims to provide secure network access using Ethereum standard and open source APIs and synchronization with the Atrium blockchain. Amazon says:

Amazon-managed blockchain monitors node health, replaces unhealthy nodes, automates Ethereum software updates, and improves Ethereum infrastructure customer availability.

Amazon continues to introduce this feature:

In addition to decentralized finance applications (DeFi), customers who develop analytics products such as smart contract monitoring tools and fraud detection software can also take advantage of these extensible, highly accessible, fully managed services.

Amazon Web Services first launched its managed blockchain in April 2019. Amazon announced at the time that customers could set up blockchain networks in their organizations and use Ethereum and gaming text frameworks such as Hyperledger. The service says it can address the need for hardware, software installation, creation and management of certificates for access and control, as well as configuration of network settings.

Amazon users can now create new Ethereum nodes using the company’s managed blockchain and connect to the main network and other test networks of this blockchain.

The move comes exactly one month after Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos announced he would step down in the third quarter of 2021. Bezos’ successor is Andy Jassy, the current CEO of Amazon Web Services, which oversees the company’s cryptocurrency products.
