Uber CEO: We accept bitcoins if needed: Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber, believes that if accepting bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencys is in the company’s interest and the need arises, it will accept these currencies as a method of payment.
According to The Block, Khosrowshahi said in an interview with CNBC on Thursday that despite supporting Cryptocurrencys as a payment method, Uber does not intend to invest part of its treasury capital in the Bitcoin area. He said about this:
This was a conversation that was immediately rejected. We decide to keep our liquidity safe. Our business is not speculation.
Uber has been a member of the Libra Association since October 2019. The association recently announced that it would change its name from Libra to Diem.
